Water Filtration and Testing

We test the water at your home, then fit the right combination of reverse osmosis, iron and sulfur filtration for it.

We test first

Every well is different, so we test the water at your home before recommending anything. The result decides the system, which is usually some combination of a reverse osmosis system, an iron filter and a sulfur filter.

Common well water problems

  • A rotten egg smell usually means hydrogen sulfide, which a sulfur filter treats.
  • Orange or brown stains usually mean iron, which an iron filter removes.
  • For drinking water, a reverse osmosis system removes much of what is dissolved in the water.

Careful installations

We take care over the details. Filters, reverse osmosis systems and pressure tanks are installed so they work properly and look neat.

Water Filtration and Testing: common questions

Why does my well water smell like rotten eggs?

A rotten egg smell usually comes from hydrogen sulfide gas dissolved in the groundwater, which is common in Florida wells. A sulfur filter treats it. We test your water first so the system matches what is in it.

Why does my well water leave orange or brown stains?

Orange or brown stains on sinks, toilets and laundry usually mean iron in the water. The iron dissolves underground and turns to rust-colored particles when it meets air. An iron filter removes it.

Do I need reverse osmosis, an iron filter or a sulfur filter?

It depends on what is in your water, which is why we test it at your home first. Many homes need some combination of the three: an iron filter for staining, a sulfur filter for smell, and a reverse osmosis system for drinking water. We recommend the system after we see the test results.

Do you test well water?

Yes. We test the water at your home before recommending any filtration, because the result decides which system you need. Call or send the form to arrange it.
